What are the Requirements for Registration

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for NDLEA jobs in 2025:

  1. Must be a Nigerian citizen with valid identification (NIN, voter’s card, driver’s license, or international passport).
  2. Must be within the age:
  1. Superintendent Cadre: 20–35 years
  2. Other Cadres (SSCE, ND, NCE): 18–30 years
  3. Medical Doctors and Drivers: Up to 40 years.
  4. Education: Minimum of five credits in O’ level results (WASSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB), including English and Mathematics. Higher qualifications (OND, NCE, HND, B.Sc.) are required for some positions.
  5. Height: Minimum of 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females.
  6. Health: Must be physically and mentally fit; persons with disabilities are not eligible.
  7. Conduct: No criminal record or history of drug abuse.
  8. Other: NYSC discharge or exemption certificate for graduates; computer literacy is an advantage.

Application Process

  1. Visit the NDLEA Portal: Go to www.ndlea.gov.ng and navigate to the careers or recruitment section.
  2. Create an Account: Register with a valid email and phone number.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Select your preferred cadre, fill in your details, and upload all required documents (passport photo, certificates, NIN, etc.).
  4. Submit Application: Review your information and submit. Print out the application reference form for future reference.
  5. Screening and Shortlisting: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a computer-based test, followed by physical and medical screening.
  6. Training: Successful candidates will undergo a 6-month training program before deployment.
